Foster Odell Murphy, 85, a resident of Grayson Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Independence, passed away at Twin County Regional Hospital on Tuesday, March 02, 2010. He was born January 3, 1925 to the late Emmitt & Cora Murphy in Grayson County.
He is survived by his sister-in-law, Beulah Murphy of Galax; Five nephews & spouses, Junior & Wanda Higgins, Rev. Larry & Cathy Murphy, Gary Murphy, Eddie Killon and Pete & Sylvia Killon; three nieces; Jeanette & Gene Lineberry, Jamalee Killon and Jean Killon; A special thanks to all of the staff at Grayson Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, March 5, 2010 at Twin County Funerals Sanctuary with the Rev. Larry Murphy & Rev. Robert McLean officiating. Burial will follow in the Edmonds Community Cemetery in Ennice, NC.
Family will receive friends on the same day from 12:00 to 1:00 PM.
