Ocie Dalton, age 70, of Sparta, NC, passed away July 4, 2010 at Alleghany Memorial Hospital. She was born November 25, 1939 to the late Mary & Raymond Waller of Fries. In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by the father of her children, Robert E. Dalton and one grandson, Matthew Dalton.
Survivors include six children Rocky Dalton & wife, Donna of Lenoir, NC., Scottie Dalton & wife, Mary, Stevie Dalton & wife, Carol both of Sparta, NC., Pamela Alcantara of Galax, Larry Dalton & Kim Cruz both of Sparta, NC.; one step son, Fred White & wife, Regina of Independence; three sisters, Judy Hill & husband, Robert, Deanie Dowling & husband, Harlowe both of Fries & Susie Horton & husband, Garnett of Galax; 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren also survive.
A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at Twin County Funerals Sanctuary beginning at 2pm. The Rev. Billy Gwynn & Rev. Reeves Jones will be officiating. Singing will be provided by “Covered By the Blood”. Burial will follow at the Providence Cemetery in Fries. Family will be receiving friends Tuesday, July 6, 2010 from 6pm until 8pm at Twin County Funerals Sanctuary. The family is gathering at the home of Scottie Dalton, 59 Osborne Road Sparta, NC.
