Samuel Theodore King, age 73, of Las Vegas, NV passed away Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at the Las Vegas University Medical Center.
He was born May 7, 1937 to the late Samuel and Louise King in Galax, Virginia.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, William “Billy” King.
He is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Robert Pate of Roanoke, VA, Lisa and Willie Jones of Germantown, MD, Sonia King of Roanoke, VA; three sons and daughters-in-law, Elder Samuel and Virginia King of Raleigh, NC, Michael and Lori King of Harrisonburg, VA Terrance and Michelle King of Conyers, GA; four sisters and brothers-in-laws, Marlene and Harold Bryson of Galax, VA, Drs. Bobbie and Anthony Hull of Roanoke, VA, Nacine King Miller of Richmond, VA, Joan and Mathew Martin of Raleigh, NC; one brother and sister-in-law, Ralph and Linda King of Forest, VA; seven grandchildren, Kenya (Tori) Preston, Karonda Pate, Justin Jones, Mariah King, Isaiah King, Olivia King, Morgan King; five great-grandchildren, Terrell Preston, Trinity Preston, Koron Pate, Khaliah Pate, Kareem Pate; Several nieces, nephews, special step-children and grandchildren and special friends, Paul and Olin Reeves also survive.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 17, 2010 at 2:00pm in the Twin County Funerals Sanctuary. The Elder Samuel King & Dr. Anthony Hull will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Glades Memorial Cemetery.
Family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service.
The family is gathering at the home of Marlene and Harold Bryson 105 Calloway St Galax, VA.
Twin County Funerals is serving the King family.
