Ronnie James Anders, age 60, of Galax passed away Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at Twin County Regional Hospital.
He was born December 16, 1949 to James Earnest and Wilma Smith Anders in Galax.
He is preceded in death by his father, James Earnest Anders and a sister, Carol Higgins.
He is survived by his wife, Betsy Anders of Galax, VA; mother Wilma Smith Anders of Galax, VA; one daughter, Amanda Linkous; two step-daughters, Tina Brown and spouse, Stacy and Laura Jones both of Galax, VA; one step- son David Jones and spouse, Maria of Germany; one sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Wade Spurlin of Ennice, NC; one brother-in-law, Buster Rhudy of Fries, VA; three granddaughters and three grandsons; special caregivers, Sandy Price, Diane Byrd and Pam Dye; Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral Service will be held Friday, July 16, 2010 at 11am in the Twin County Funerals Sanctuary with the Rev. Junior Bullins, Bedford Bryant and Claude Holderfield with burial in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in the Baywood Community.
Visitation will be Friday, July 16, 2010 from 9:30am to service time.
In lieu of flowers family request that contributions be made toward funeral expenses in care of Twin County Funerals.
