Mr. Arnold Jacob Guynn, age 92 of Fancy Gap, VA passed away Thursday, July 15, 2010 at his home. Mr. Guynn was born in Carroll County, May 20, 1918 to the late James Franklin and Lillie Inez Thomas. He was a produce farmer, and retired as a driver for Dixie Concrete, and was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. Surviving are four daughters and sons-in-law, Nina Bowman of Havre De Grace, MD; Ima and Lonnie Lindsey of Hillsville, VA; Wanda and Shelbin Culler of Ararat, VA; Linda and Dennis Woods, of Galax, VA; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Dennis Guynn and Linda McBride of Mt. Airy, and Roy and Patricia Guynn of Blacksburg, VA; a brother John Gwyn of Mt. Airy; by 22 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, and 14 great great grandchildren In addition to his parents, Mr. Guynn was preceded in death by his wife Hallie Mary Elizabeth Guynn, four sisters Rhoda McMillian, Bessie Guynn, Della Bond, Jane Goodman, and three brothers Lee Guynn, Rufus Guynn, Howard Guynn and a great grandchild Little Stacy Culler. A graveside services will be conducted Sunday July 18, 2010 at 4:00 PM at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Cana, by Rev. Tim Hawks and Rev. Wayne Guynn.
